Our Pet Loss Support services have assisted pet lovers since 2004. We offer emotional support when saying good-bye to the pet you love. We offer individual sessions as well as our ongoing, monthly, online, Pet Loss Support Group. Pet loss is frequently referred to as Disenfranchised Grief because others, often, feel differently about pets, due to a variety of reasons. They may not hold a similar status toward pets as do we, or hold certain expectations or beliefs about how we “should/shouldn’t” grieve.
Fortunately, in our meetings, it's unnecessary to explain why our pet is so special to us; or explain why we can't stop crying. We have the freedom to repeat certain stories over and over again, and no, there is nothing wrong with grieving. We live in a “hurry up and get over it world” and our grieving makes others uncomfortable. Not in our Support Group. It’s through our community of support and connectedness, that we normalize our grief process, we discover others that feel similarly, this, in turn decreases our sense of loneliness and isolation, and through this constructive process, we begin to heal.
The group provides an opportunity to connect with others who share a similar loss, who understand our emotional pain. We share stories, photos, and our emotions… all of which validate one another in an emotionally safe space. The people that don’t understand and accept that we can, and do, have deep emotionally attachments with our pets don’t attend. We get it. We want to help others through this difficult time.

Our Pet Loss Support Group meets monthly on Saturdays at 12:30PM pst. The group meets via webex and a meeting invite will be sent to all enrolled participants. Please be prepared and ready to login ~5 minutes early to account for any potential technical issues, so we may start on time.
